SmartBattery is a jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Elias Sfeir that we’ve showed you previously that can boost the battery performance of your jailbroken iPhone or iPad by giving you more control over what your device does and when it does those things to reduce unwanted battery drain throughout the day.
The tweak has been consistently updated over the course of the past several years to support new iterations of iOS & iPadOS, and more recently, the tweak picked up support for rootless jailbreaks such as Dopamine and palera1n for iOS & iPadOS 15 and 16.

By far my favorite features of SmartBattery is being able to configure personalized Low Power Modes that limit more of my iPhone’s features when I’m not using it so that there’s more battery available when I am using it. In essence, I can preserve my battery longer when my iPhone just sits by limiting background processes.
Another thing I like is the automated aspect of setting custom Low Power Mode time intervals, since this means I can toggle Low Power Mode during times when I know I won’t be using my iPhone much or when I don’t think I’ll require my iPhone’s best performance.
While iPhone battery life is nothing to scoff at right out of the box, SmartBattery can extend your battery life well beyond what you’re used to, which may be even more beneficial on older jailbroken device where the battery health isn’t as top-notch as on a newer device.
