Tango gives app icons a vibrant and colorful makeover

If you’re in the market for a theme that will make your iPhone or iPad’s Home Screen stand out from the crowd, then we advise taking a quick look at Tango by WildHeart.

Examples of the Tango theme.

As you can see from the screenshot examples above, the Tango theme uses gradients, vibrant colors, and shadows to add a three-dimensional look to all your icons, and they support not only your Home Screen, but the Settings app icons as well.

Oh and if you want to get detailed, Tango uses a unique icon mask and even provides its own notification badges (jailbreak required):

Every icon pack is advertised to have 8 different effects, depending on your tastes.

This theme’s resource pack is nothing to scoff at. With 1,052 included app icons, the creator has spend lots of time ensuring that most app icons users will take advantage of will have support right out of the box.

According to WildHeart, users are free to request up to 20 app icons at a time as long as they provide proof of purchase, and updates to Tango are expected to happen frequently.

Tango and all of its add-ones are designed to work with SnowBoard, so to get the most out of it, you’ll want to have a jailbroken device at your disposal. Non-jaikbreakers won’t be able to do much else besides change their icons — no Settings app icon customization, no masks, and no custom badges.

If you’re interested in taking a closer look at Tango, then the theme is available from the Havoc repository for $2.49. The creator provides a 1-day return policy, so be sure to try it out and feel protected if you decide you don’t like it later on.
