VanishBar is a new MacDirtyCow add-on by iOS developer haxi0 for iPhones running iOS 15.0-16.1.2 can hides the Status Bar from view on demand.

The VanishBar app is available for free via the developer’s GitHub page and can be sideloaded on any device running the firmware version(s) mentioned above with AltStore or Sideloady. Once sideloaded, users can launch the app and use it hide the Status Bar.

According to a comment shared by the developer in the /r/jailbreak release post, it seems that the effects will even persist even after a reboot, which is actually pretty nifty compared to a lot of other MacDirtyCow add-ons.

The Status Bar is home to valuable information such as the time, your network connectivity quality (be it cellular or Wi-Fi), and battery percentage, among other things. Few people I know would elect to hide their Status Bar unless it was getting in the way of certain app or game interfaces, which can happen on occasion, but some people just like the minimal interface when a Status Bar isn’t present.
