GesturesXV brings iPhone X-style gestures to Home Button-equipped handsets pwned with palera1n

Apart from the iPhone X, most of the iOS & iPadOS 15.x devices that you can jailbreak with the palera1n tool have a Home Button and therefore lack the modern gestures first introduced with the iPhone X.

GesturesXV ports the iPhone X’s innovative UI and swipe gestures to Home Button-equipped iPhones on iOS 15.

If you’re running the palera1n jailbreak on such a device, then you can use the new and free GesturesXV jailbreak tweak by iOS developer ETHN to get them.

The iPhone X-style gestures that GesturesXV brings to the table include:

  • Swiping up from the bottom of the screen to unlock the device
  • Swiping up from the bottom of the screen to close apps
  • Swiping up and pausing from the bottom of the screen to open the App Switcher

These gestures behave in such a way as to let the end user operate their Home Button-equipped iPhone without actually having to use the Home Button for most activities.

Not only is this a nice way to make an older handset feel a little more modernized, but it also gives you more flexibility if your Home Button has stopped working for one reason or another.

Obviously, users would still use the Home Button for Touch ID authentication (where applicable), and for screenshot capturing.

If you’re interested in giving GesturesXV a try, then you can download it for free from the Havoc repository via your favorite package manager app. The tweak supports iOS & iPadOS 15 devices that have been jailbroken with palera1n only.
