Discounted MLS Season Pass for Apple TV+ subscribers
Starting February 1, 2023, fans will be able to watch matches in Apple’s TV app, kicking off the official 10-year partnership between Major League Soccer and Apple. As part of that deal, Apple will be offering streams of all Major League Soccer matches globally through its TV app for the next ten years.
From today’s announcement:
The first home opener to be revealed so far is the 2022 MLS Cup champions Los Angeles FC against the LA Galaxy in a historic match showcasing Los Angeles’ marquee soccer rivalry at the Rose Bowl Stadium — the first MLS regular-season match to be played there since 2002.
All matches during the “MLS is Back” opening weekend will be free to watch in the TV app. On top of that, fans will be able to subscribe to the new MLS Season Pass subscription in the TV app for $15/month during the season or $99/season. Apple TV+ subscribers will be treated to a special price of $13/month and $79/season.
The TV app is available across the iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, smart TVs, streaming devices, set-top boxes, game consoles and the web at tv.apple.com. Those are all places you’ll be able to watch matches come February 1, 2023.
What does MLS Season Pass include?
Amongst other perks, MLS Season Pass includes the following:
- Every live MLS regular-season match
- Entire playoffs
- The Leagues Cup, excluding Leagues Cup and Campeones Cup for viewers in Mexico
- No blackouts
Describe as “the most expansive and accessible programming lineup ever” for MLS fans, this offering also includes all MLS and Leagues Cup matches, plus hundreds of MLS NEXT Pro and MLS NEXT games during the season.
“During match days, MLS Season Pass will feature an exclusive live match whip-around show so fans never miss an exciting goal or save, as well as game replays, highlights and analysis,” according to the announcement in Apple Newsroom.
Major League Soccer is celebrating its 28th season in 2023.
The league counts 29 clubs throughout the United States and Canada, all of which will wear the official Apple TV patch in a different color.
