Other important Books app settings

Along with themes, three other settings allow you to personalize your reading experience. These settings are universal and not tied to any specific theme. For example, adjusting the text size will affect the text size regardless of the theme you’re using.

The following steps will show you how to adjust the text size, scrolling style, and appearance settings in the Books app on your iPhone or iPad.

1) Tap the menu button while reading a book and choose Themes & Settings.

2) Use the smaller A and bigger A to decrease or increase the font size.

3) Tap the rectangular document icon (next to the bigger A) to choose the swipe and scroll style.

4) Tap the appearance button to pick Light Mode or Dark Mode. You can also match it to your iPhone’s Dark Mode setting, or have your iPhone automatically adjust it based on your surroundings.
