DateFormatter lets jailbreakers customize their Lock Screen’s date format

With a newly released and free jailbreak tweak dubbed DateFormatter by iOS developer Saud Alshaman, jailbreakers can effortlessly change the format of the date indicator that appears just underneath the time on the Lock Screen.

DateFormatter supports a wide array of different date formats, many of which are well documented online for your viewing pleasure.

Like with most date formatting jailbreak tweaks, users will have to enter their preferred date formatting themselves, and the tweak takes care of the rest.

Once installed, you will find a dedicated preference pane in the Settings app where you can enter custom date formatting:

In addition to entering your preferred date formatting, you may toggle the tweak on or off on demand from the same preference pane. No respring is required for changes to take effect.

Those interested in giving the new DateFormatter jailbreak tweak a try can download it for free from the BigBoss repository via their favorite package manager app. The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 14 devices and is open source on the developer’s GitHub page.
