TapHeartConfirm makes Instagram app users confirm before liking or unliking things

It’s very easy to accidentally like it unlike a post in your Instagram feed, and depending on the circumstances, the experience can be unnerving, or sometimes even esteem-shattering because the person on the other end of the like or unlike is likely to figure out it was you.

A newly released and free jailbreak tweak called TapHeartConfirm by iOS developer CydiaGeek, on the other hand, can help prevent accidental and embarrassing likes or unlikes in your Instagram feed by requiring that you confirm your action before being officially finalized.

In the screenshot example above, you’ll see what the confirmation message looks like. Upon trying to like or unlike something in your Instagram feed via the integrated Heart button, a pop-up appears that asks if you’re sure you want to like or dislike it.

Tapping no cancels the action and keeps the other party in the dark about your accidental tap, while tapping yes finalizes the action.

TapHeartConfirm doesn’t come with any options to configure and is available as a free download from the BigBoss repository via your favorite package manager app.

The tweak supports jailbroken iOS 12, 13, and 14 devices running the latest version of the Instagram app at the time of this writing, which is version 247.0. Please note that future updates to Instagram could break the TapHeartConfirm tweak, necessitating an update by the tweak developer.
