Check out the first teaser for Apple TV+ limited series ‘Five Days at Memorial’ starring Vera Farmiga

In September of 2020, news surfaced that Apple TV+ would play host to a new limited series focused on telling the story of the care takers and patients trapped inside a hospital following the catastrophic natural disaster Hurricane Katrina. Things have been pretty quiet about the series since then, but today we finally have an official teaser to share.

Apple TV+ has published the first teaser for the upcoming series, which is called Five Days at Memorial. The show has a pretty stacked cast, including Vera Farmiga (Bates Motel) leading the charge. Along with her, Cherry Jones (The Village), Cornelius Smith, Jr. (Scandal), Julie Ann Emery (Better Caul Saul), Robert Pine (Lakeview Terrace), and Adepero Oduye (Pariah) round out the primary cast.

Five Days at Memorial is based on true events. Here’s how Apple TV+ describes the upcoming show:

Based on actual events from Hurricane Katrina, Five Days at Memorial tells the story of the exhausted caregivers at a New Orleans hospital who were forced to make heart-wrenching decisions amidst the storm’s aftermath.

The only bad news here is that it’s the first teaser trailer. Which means this is all meant to set up the overall mood and tone, while hinting at what’s to come. There’s not a lot about the story revealed here, just a quick taste. It makes sense, though, with Five Days at Memorial not set to premiere on Apple TV+ until Friday, August 12, 2022.

That just means we’ll get the official trailer sometime in July, probably. As soon as we do, we’ll be sure to pass it along.

Even if it is a teaser trailer, it’s certainly an interesting story, and with a cast like that it should be a great addition to Apple TV+’s expanding library. Do you plan to check it out?
