Apple is now selling a 3-meter braided Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable for $159

Are you in the market for a brand new Thunderbolt 4 cable? How about one that measures in at 3 meters in length? Well then, Apple just added an option for you.

Apple has recently added a brand new, 3-meter braided Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable to its online storefront. It has enough length to be very useful in a variety of different situations. And that braided design means the cable won’t get tangled up.

The Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable supports Thunderbolt 3, Thunderbolt 4, and USB 4 data transfer speeds 40Gb/s. It also supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 data transfer speeds up to 10Gb/s, DisplayPort video output (HBR3), and supports charging up to 100W.

The new cable even supports Apple’s brand new Studio Display (as well as the Pro Display XDR):

Use this cable to connect a Mac with Thunderbolt 3 or 4 (USB-C) ports to Thunderbolt (USB-C) and USB displays and devices such as Studio Display, Pro Display XDR, docks, and hard drives.

The cable also supports daisy-chaining up to six Thunderbolt 3 devices for good measure.

This is a helpful accessory! However, it’s not cheap. Apple has it priced at $159.00. As far as availability goes, it appears the new cable is available at some physical storefronts, too. Some stores are showing it won’t be available for in-store pickup until Friday, May 20, though.

Shipping shows that the new Thunderbolt 4 Pro cable can arrive between May 12 and May 20 with expedited shipping, or between May 13 and May 20 with free shipping.
