Grosou lets jailbreakers invoke soothing, concentration-boosting noises from Control Center

It’s only natural to experience challenges concentrating on occasion. Sometimes, it’s because of the plethora of distractions around us, and all it takes is some soothing sound effects to counter those distractions.

White noise apps and even dedicated machines can be had on the cheap, but it’s fascinating to me that Apple hasn’t implemented some kind of native feature into its platforms considering the proven health benefits of to be had booster concentration.

Fortunately for jailbreakers, iOS developer fahlnbg has just released a free jailbreak tweak called Grosou that incorporates soothing noise emission functionality into the native Control Center interface of your pwned iPhone or iPad for your enjoyment on demand.

As shown above, Grosou adds a dedicated module to Control Center that lets you access all types of different soothing noise effects, including the following:

  • Brown Noise
  • Ocean
  • Pink Noise
  • Rain
  • Stream
  • White Noise

The interface also lets users independently adjust the volume for the soothing noise they choose and stop the noise playback on demand via a dedicated Stop Sound button.

Once installed, users will need to enable the Grosou Control Center module by visiting the Settings → Control Center preference pane and dragging the Grosou module into the enabled list, like so:

If soothing noise sounds like it could help boost your concentration, or at the very least help put you in a better mood throughout the day, then you can download Grosou for free from the TTJB repository via your favorite package manager app. Grosou appears to support jailbroken iOS 13 and 14 devices.

Those who aren’t already using the TTJB repository can add it to their package manager app of choice by using the URL provided below:
