Jacki Weaver to star in Apple TV+ dramedy “Hello Tomorrow!”

Deadline says Jacki Weaver will play as Barbara Billings, the manipulative mother of Billy Crudup’s character, named Jack. Crudup is also set to executive produce the series. “Hello Tomorrow!” is being billed as a retro-future dramedy, with each half-hour episode revolving around a group of traveling salesmen hawking lunar timeshares.

Crudup stars as Jack, a salesman of great talent and ambition, whose unshakeable faith in a brighter tomorrow inspires his coworkers, revitalizes his desperate customers, but threatens to leave him dangerously lost in the very dream that sustains him.

There will be ten episodes in the first season.

Jacqueline Ruth Weaver, better known as Jacki Weaver, won nominations for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in “Animal Kingdom” and “Silver Linings Playbook”. Crudup, along with Weaver, is joined by Hank Azaria, Haneefah Wood, Alison Pill, Nick Podany and Dewshane Williams. Read: How to resume Apple TV+ shows from any device
