Native Union launches AirPods Beanies, a universal knit case inspired by the iPod Sock

There are plenty of wild accessories out there for Apple’s range of devices. Some of them catch on in their own right, become wildly popular for a select number of users out there in the wild. Others, not so much. But when it comes to the iPod Sock, it certainly stood the test of time back in the day. And now it’s back, sort of.

Instead of being an official accessory from Apple, though, the reinvention of the iPod Sock –now designed as a beanie for Apple’s AirPods— comes from Native Union. This company has a wide range of accessories for various Apple products, including wires, wireless charging solutions, and much more.

And now they are offering AirPods Beanies.

This accessory was created to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original iPod, so it’s certainly fitting. Even as it’s updated to match Apple’s current offering. Native Union is offering the AirPods Beanies in a pack of four, each of which is available in pastel colors. So you’ll be able to mix it up based on how you want to show off your knit case while out on the town.

The knit cases are made from 100% recycled materials, are a soft knit in design, and obviously don’t add a lot of bulk to your charging case. It’ll fit each of the AirPods model charging cases out there, including the brand new third-generation AirPods.

As for the colors inside the four-pack, there is Sage, Glacier, Peach, and Indigo. AirPods Beanies will offer up simple enough protection for daily use, and they support wireless charging, too. So you don’t have to remove the iPod Sock-inspired beanie to keep your charging case topped up.
