This jailbreak tweak doubles the amount of call history items in the Phone app’s recents tab

The iPhone’s native Phone app contains a list of all recent phone calls, both incoming and outgoing. It’s a handy feature for checking your call history, but it’s certainly limited in its capacity to serve users.

By default, the Phone app’s recents list can display 100 history items at any given time. iOS developer MiRO92recognized that this could be a bottleneck for users who receive lots of phone calls — even if they’re just spammy ones — and released a free jailbreak tweak dubbed DoubleRecents to solve that issue.

Just as the tweak’s name implies, DoubleRecents doubles the number of history items that can be displayed in the Phone app’s recents list from 100 to a generous 200.

Anyone who finds themselves looking back through their call history more often than the average Joe to find out when someone called or when they called someone else will find this tweak helpful, especially since it gives you more listings to search through.

On the flip side, someone who doesn’t receive a lot of phone calls might not need the added capacity, so it really comes down to your unique workflow situation.

I have found that when receiving lots of spam calls throughout the day, it can make searching my phone call history for personal calls more difficult because of the 100 item limitation. However, that’s less of a problem now with the DoubleRecents tweak.

Those interested in giving DoubleRecents a try can download the tweak for free from MiRO92’s personal repository via their favorite package manager app, and it’s worth mentioning that the tweak supports jailbroken iOS 13 & 14 devices.

If you’re not already taking advantage of MiRO92’s repository, then you can add it to your package manager app of choice via the following URL:
