Taurine jailbreak updated to v1.1.1 with bug fixes and reduced memory usage

Anyone that uses the Taurine jailbreak on their iOS or iPadOS 14.0-14.3 device might be intrigued to know that a newer version of the tool is now available.

Odyssey Team lead developer CoolStar took to the Sileo / Taurine/ Odyssey Discord channel late Friday night to announce the release of Taurine version 1.1.1.

The Taurine v1.1.1 update, which was initially unleashed to existing users via Jailbreak Updater only and then later uploaded to the official web page for all to download, appears to introduce at least three significant changes:

Citing the change log, it would appear that Taurine v1.1.1 introduces the following changes:

– Fix issues with injection into cfprefsd
– Re-enables tweak injection into cfprefsd
– Reduces memory usage and improves performance system-wide

According to CoolStar, the jbupdate command via Jailbreak Updater will only install Taurine v1.1.1 if you’re currently using v1.0.5 or newer. If you’re using Taurine v1.0.4 or older, then you’ll need to download and deploy Taurine v1.1.1 manually via AltStore.

As always, we recommend keeping your jailbreak up to date to ensure that you’re taking advantage of the latest bug fixes and improvements. The latest version of Taurine can be downloaded from Taurine.app and we have a full tutorial showcasing how to install it.
