Around three months ago, I shared my user experience with Visible as a second carrier for my iPhone. Visible, which operates on the Verizon Wireless network, offers outstanding network coverage for as little as $25 per month with unlimited 4G LTE & 5G data, talk, and text, and with unlimited tethering included!
Just this past week, however, Visible did something I never saw coming. They added support for cellular-capable Apple Watches. And much like Visible’s hyper-affordable cellular plan, enjoying cellular connectivity with Visible is just as affordable.
While the overwhelming majority of cellular carriers in the United States charge $10 extra per month to add a cellular Apple Watch to the tab, Visible impresses by charging just $5 per month to connect an Apple Watch to your plan – taxes and fees included!
Much like other facets of the Visible plan package, the Apple Watch will get to enjoy unlimited data and share the same phone number as your iPhone on the same plan. This means you’re free to leave your iPhone at home or in the car when you go for a run, and you can stream as much music as you want, take phone calls, and answer texts along the way.
But most cellular Apple Watch owners knew that already – they’re just accustomed to over-paying for their cellular service. That’s where Visible shines.
Setting up Visible cellular service on your Apple Watch is simple as long as you’re already a Visible customer and you’re running the latest versions of iOS and watchOS. All you’ll need to do is go to the Watch app on your iPhone, tap on the Cellular tab, and proceed with the Set up cellular button, like so:
Upon doing so, you can log into your existing Visible account, and you’ll then be asked to reboot your Apple Watch to provision the built-in electronic SIM (eSIM). After this, you should see Visible as the service carrier on your Apple Watch. This process can sometimes take up to 30 minutes to complete.
If you’re not already a Visible customer, whether as a primary or secondary carrier on your iPhone, then I would strongly recommend checking out my in-depth review of the service from a few months back. I continue to use Visible as a secondary carrier behind T-Mobile to provide additional coverage when I roam out of T-Mobile’s coverage area, and it’s super convenient given the low cost.
When joining Visible, you can use the promo code 3pd8v2 to enjoy your first month for just $5, and then you can join a party to pay just $25 per month thereafter.
Please note that using the Visible cellular network requires an unlocked or a Verizon Wireless-compatible iPhone.
Does Visible’s low operational cost of just $5 (taxes and fees included) for the Apple Watch sound like a great deal to you? We’re excited to hear your thoughts or experience with the service in the comments section down below.
