Anyone who uses YouTube religiously will likely have noticed a new feature in the app recently called Shorts. These are effectively short videos that YouTubers can publish to their channel, mostly to attract viewers.
Fortunately for the trendy ones out there who are already using YouTube’s Shorts feature in full force, YTShortsDownloader is a new and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer bandarhelal that, as the name implies, allows jailbreakers to download Shorts from the YouTube mobile app.
Once installed, the tweak adds a new download button to the Shorts video viewer, as designated down the down-facing arrow button on the right side of the screen in the screenshot example below:

Upon tapping on the download button, the user can choose the download quality for the clip they’re watching. Options will vary from one clip to the next and depending on the uploader’s camera, but in the example above, there is a maximum download option of 1080p HD.
If you have any interest in downloading Shorts from the YouTube app, then the new YTShortsDownloader is available as a free download from the Packix repository via your favorite package manager. The tweak doesn’t come with any options to configure and supports jailbroken iOS 13 and 14 devices.
