ByeQuickAction removes the Lock Screen’s Quick Action buttons

The Lock Screen is home to two familiar Quick Action buttons on notched handsets that allow users to launch their Camera or ignite their flashlight on demand. But some users either don’t like these buttons or toggle them accidentally so often that their sheer existence isn’t worth it at all.

For those who’d like to remove the Camera and Flashlight Quick Action buttons from the Lock Screen, ByeQuickAction is a new and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer AJB that does exactly that.

Once installed, the Camera and Flashlight Quick Action buttons no longer appear on the Lock Screen, resulting in the sleek Lock Screen interface shown below:

Before (left) and After (right).

Unlike some tweaks that merely hide the buttons while retaining the Haptic Touch gesture-centric functionality, ByeQuickAction appears to actually remove the buttons and their functionality from the Lock Screen. Furthermore, this is a great standalone tweak for anyone who doesn’t want all the other bells and whistles offered by other tweaks that bake similar functionality into them (such as Lock Screen customization tweaks).

In other words, it’s lightweight, and for that reason, we can stand behind this tweak as it’s a great solution for anyone who wants to rid themselves of the Lock Screen’s Quick Action buttons for any reason.

ByeQuickAction doesn’t come with any options to configure and is available for free from the Packix repository via your preferred package manager. The tweak is advertised as supporting jailbroken installations of iOS 13 and 14.
