WaveAway provides modest iOS customization without the price tag

Whether you’re new to jailbreaking or merely looking for a quick and easy way to personalize various parts of the iOS user interface without investing money, WaveAway is a newly released and free jailbreak tweak by iOS developer Sangster that might be of interest.

WaveAway is best described as a free all-in-one jailbreak tweak that provides a myriad of different options for customizing your handset’s mobile operating system. It’s not quite as in-depth as many of the paid all-in-ones out there, such as Springtomize, but as a free release, it’s definitely worth checking out.

Once installed, WaveAway adds a dedicated preference pane to the Settings app where users can configure the tweak to their liking:

Options here include:

  • Hiding page dots from the Home Screen
  • Hiding the Dock’s background
  • Hiding the Dock from your Home Screen altogether
  • Enabling and configuring a custom Dock color
  • Hiding Folder names when they’re open
  • Enabling and configuring a custom Folder color
  • Hiding the folder background
  • Hiding notifications from the Lock Screen
  • Hiding the Lock Screen’s ‘No Older Notifications’ text
  • Hiding the Face ID padlock glyph from the Lock Screen
  • Hiding the Status Bar
  • Spoofing your handset’s storage space
  • Hiding app icon labels from the Home Screen
  • Hiding all badges from your Home screen’s app icons
  • Hiding beta dots from your Home Screen
  • Hiding update dots from your Home screen
  • Hiding the Cloud icon
  • Make apps invisible
  • Enter and enable a custom carrier text label for the Status Bar
  • Enter and enable a custom battery text label for the Status Bar
  • Respring your device to save any changes you’ve made

For the most part, WaveAway’s options appear to be limited to the Home Screen, the Lock Screen, and the Status Bar. That aside, it supports some rather high-demand features among jailbreakers, including but not limited to colorizing interfaces, clearing unwanted interface clutter, and customizing Status Bar text-based elements.

Those who might be interested in giving the new WaveAway tweak a try can download it for free from the Twickd repository via their favorite package manager. WaveAway supports jailbroken iOS & iPadOS 13 and 14 devices.
