While Apple continues to move ahead with a larger update to iOS, the company today released a minor one before that.
On Monday, Apple officially released iOS 14.4.1, iPadOS 14.4.1, macOS Big Sur 11.2.3, and watchOS 7.3.2 to the public. This comes more than a month after Apple released iOS 14.4 to the public, which landed in late January of this year. As the version number will tell you, this is a minor update in the grand scheme of things. Newer features are coming in the next larger update to iOS 14.5.
The new software is still free to download and install, though. It’s available now as an over-the-air (OTA) update for supported devices.
As far as what’s new, it’s all about security fixes this time around. To update, open Settings –> General –> Software Update. Follow the onscreen instructions to download and install the new software. If you have automatic updates turned on, along with automatic downloads, your supported device will download and install the software automatically overnight while the device is charging.
Apple says the new software is recommended for all iOS users, and they should install the new software now. Per the release notes:

watchOS update, too
In addition to the update to iOS, Apple also released a minor update to watchOS as well. The new software version is watchOS 7.3.2, and it’s available now for supported models. To update manually, open the Watch app, then select General –> Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions.
To update, the Apple Watch must have at least 50% battery, be connected to a charger, and also be within range and paired to an iPhone.
With Automatic Updates turned on, the new software will be downloaded and installed overnight while the smartwatch charges.
As far as what’s new, the new watchOS 7.3.2 update also focuses on security updates. Per the release:

macOS not left behind
Apple also updated macOS Big Sur to version 11.2.3 as well. As is par for the course with the new software releases, this one’s a minor update as well. It’s meant primarily for security improvements and changes. To update, select System Preferences –> Software Update and follow the onscreen instructions. With Automatic Updates, the new software will be downloaded and installed overnight.
