If you’re in the market for some quality protection for your latest Apple handset, Gear4 has just announced a pair of new iPhone 12 protective cases made for MagSafe.
Gear4 (which is a ZAGG brands company) says both new cases are made with its D3O technology for extreme impact protection. The new offering includes a clear case, dubbed Crystal Palace Snap, and a non-clear case called Rio Snap. Thanks to 3DO technology, the new cases lock together to dissipate impact forces in an unfortunate event of a phone drop.
These cases were designed without compromising the 15-watt wireless charging speed with Apple’s MagSafe charger. Thanks to the embedded magnets that align with the MagSafe magnets in your phone, you can seamlessly attach your new Snap case to your iPhone 12 without any impact to the magnetic holder or interference with wireless charging.
Crystal Palace Snap
The Crystal Palace Snap case is made from D3O Crystalex, which is the favorite material sued in transparent phone cases due to its features such as non-yellowing appearance and dye transfer resistance. It’s also the most transparent material for phone cases. The Crystal Palace Snap is 5G compatible and provides up to 13 feet (four meters) of drop protection.
“The crystal-clear polycarbonate flaunts the iPhone colors and features a coating with built-in antimicrobial properties that protect the case coating by inhibiting the growth of odor-causing bacteria and guards against degradation from microorganisms,” Gear4 notes.
Rio Snap
The Rio Snap combines strength and style. Its sleek, black exterior padded with a soft-touch finish can withstand drops from up to 13 feet (four meters). This case is also 5G compatible and sports the same coating with built-in antimicrobial properties as the Crystal Palace Snap.
Pricing and availability
Both the Crystal Palace Snap case and the Rio Snap case are priced at $50 each with a limited lifetime warranty. They are available for the latest iPhone family: the iPhone 12 mini, iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
