In this week’s episode of our Apps of the Week roundup we have a unique note-taker, a weight-loss app that connects you to real nutritionists, and a fun app for capturing and sharing inside jokes and quotes. And as always, we’ve selected two great games for you to check out.
Logger: Spacetime Notes
I’m a sucker for a unique note-taking app, and this one certainly fits the bill. Logger allows you to write down your thoughts, ideas and other things you want to remember, as well as track when and where they came to you. You can create multiple lists, export data as a CSV file and even change themes.
SlimU – Your Weight Loss Guide
If you’re looking for an app to help you lose weight but are tired of the usual calorie counters and AI-driven algorithms, check this out. SlimU pairs you up with a real life nutritionist to help you achieve your health goals. The subscription is a bit pricey, but it’s still a fraction of the average nutritionist cost.
Quotable
Here’s a fun idea: Quotable makes it easy to save and share funny quotes from friends and family. You can add photos to your quotes to help bring it to life, and create different boards of quotes for your different circles. Plus your boards are invite-only, so that all of your inside jokes can stay, well, inside.
Basketball Showdown: Royale
I bet you’ve never played anything like this. It’s battle royale for…basketball. That’s right, 50 players meet on one court and each of them must grab a basketball and shoot like their lives depended on it. Features include unlockable trick shots, GameCenter achievements and leaderboards and even team-play.
RUNES
If you’re more of a puzzle person, check out RUNES. It’s described as a puzzler that is a mix of Tetris, Rubik’s cube and the old mobile game ‘Edge.’ Features include beautiful 3D graphics, relaxing music, simple controls, and two worlds with unique game mechanics. More levels to be added in future updates.
