In this episode of our Apps of the Week roundup we have a handy software tool for upping your video conferencing game, a beautiful breathing companion app, and a budgeting app for the rest of us. And as always, we’ve selected two great games for you to check out.
Reincubate Camo
Upgrade your video conferencing and streaming game by using your iPhone or iPad camera as your webcam. All you need is this app running on your iOS device, and the Cam Studio app running on your Mac. Then you just plug your iOS device into your Mac, and you are good to go.
Unwind
Unwind is a refreshing and delightful breathing companion app that hopes to help you with meditation and get you through the day. It’s not new by any means, but the app did just get a big 2.1 update with the addition of Apple Watch support and a new ‘Heart Rate Change’ feature.
Nudget
Nudget is the budgeting app for the rest of us, with two key driving principles: speed and simplicity. The idea here is if an app can make it super quick and easy to enter in your purchases, you’re more likely to do so on a consistent basis, allowing you to fully understand your spending habits.
Railway Canyon
Railway Canyon is a relaxing, easy-going puzzle game. The bandits are causing trouble in the Wild West — they’re trying to hijack the train and steal cargo. Can you help assemble the railway and move on before it’s too late? Features include 32 handcrafted levels, simple controls, and more.
Unfoldit
Unfoldit is a puzzle game as well, but it’s been designed to help you increase your cognitive abilities and spatial awareness. Can you determine the resultant state of paper after folds and hole punches are performed? There are 1800+ levels, in-game hints and trackable statistics. Fun AND educational!
