Picaso Lab’s new iPad Pro leather sleeve collection features an integrated kickstand

Picaso Lab, a father-and-son business focused on fine leather protection for your Apple products, has launched something very interesting — a new version of their beautiful handmade leather sleeve collection for the iPad Pro, now with a convenient built-in kickstand which gives the accessory more utility besides keeping that expensive, shiny tablet safe.

A case with a kickstand

This new leather collection for the iPad Pro from Picaso Lab looks like their regular iPad Pro leather sleeves, with one crucial exception — there’s now an integrated stand inside the leather sleeve, something you don’t find that often in leather cases from other manufacturers.

Thanks to this built-in kickstand, you can prop that tablet of yours while you use it on your lap or a tabletop. This is especially useful for those times when you need to video conference or simply want to share your photographs or videos with everyone in the room.

It’s also perfect for playing Fortnite and other iPad games, too!

While the design does feel very familiar to their regular iPad Pro sleeve, this additional perk gives the leather accessory more utility besides keeping your Apple tablet safe. The sleeve comes in several color options and is available for both the 11 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

I reviewed their iPad Pro sleeve about a year ago and came away impressed.

The case lets you pack your tablet with confidence and not only is it nice to look at, but is also elegant to carry your iPad around in it. Napa leather does look great and feels soft in the hands.

Unique leather cases for your Apple gear

Picaso Lab has made a name for itself with its special-edition MacBook sleeves autographed and endorsed by Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak. The family-run business has since been producing beautiful leather cases for Apple products out of Napa leather and polyester thread, using the dying crafting skills the founder learned from his grandfather.

Picaso’s leather sleeve for the 16-inch MacBook Pro lets you charge your notebook while it’s in the case.

One of their recent creations is a leather case for the new 16-inch MacBook Pro notebook that comes with side-accessible ports for protected charging, as seen on the photo included above.

The company launched its leather protection for the latest iPad Pros soon after its release in October 2018. In April 2019, they expanded the iPad Pro sleeve collection with three subdued color finishes. After going hands-on with the new color options, I concluded they’re especially suitable for people who prefer a more formal and light-brownish appearance.

If you’re fed up with the usual leather products and want something a tad different, do yourself a favor and visit the Picaso Lab website to find something you like. Or, focus on their iPad collection if you’re in the market for decent protection for your precious Apple tablet.

As I mentioned earlier, Picaso provided iDB readers with the coupon code idownload10 that you enter at checkout to instantly get ten percent off any order.
