Zagg launches its Messenger Folio keyboard for the 10.2-inch iPad

Zagg’s new keyboard solution for Apple’s 10.2-inch iPad which was officially announced at the CES show in January is now available to purchase through the company’s website.

Backlight keyboard for your iPad

The minimalist style keyboard case is wrapped in fabric, similar to Apple’s own product. It connects to the iPad via Bluetooth because the 10.2-inch tablet lacks a Smart Connector. I’ve used similar keyboard cases from Zagg before and they typically pair with my tablet automatically, as soon as I open the case and wake my iPad Pro from sleep.

You’ll immediately notice spacious, laptop-style keys. Unlike the keys on Apple’s keyboard folio, the Messenger Folio keyboard has real keys for that precise feeling with each keystroke.

Like with other Zagg keyboard cases, backlighting on the Messenger Folio keyboard is available in seven different colors, with convenient keyboard combinations allowing you to quickly cycle through the colors or make the LEDs brighter or dimmer.

A built-in holder conveniently stores your Apple Pencil. a collapsible stand secures the tablet at two viewing angles while magnet secure the keyboard and y our tablet when not in use. Zagg promises that the rechargeable battery will last up to two years between charges, but your mileage may vary depending on how often you use the keyboard.

Aside from the Messenger Folio, Zagg also announced at CES other solutions for Apple’s tablets, including the Slim Book Go and the Rugged Messenger keyboards that will be available in the late first quarter and the second quarter.
