Apple TV+ comedy series ‘Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet’ debuts on February 7

Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet for Apple TV+

Earlier this year, the upcoming scripted comedy series Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet was revealed during this year’s E3, showcasing yet another project for Apple TV+.

We learned quite a bit about the show at the big reveal, including the fact that Rob McElhenney (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) would not only be starring in the series, but also serve as an executive producer alongside Charlie Day (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia). McElhenney created the series with Megan Ganz (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia).

And now, courtesy of Ubisoft, we know that the series arrives on Apple TV+ on February 7 of next year. Each episode will be a half hour.

This is the first scripted comedy series for Apple TV+, and it will work as a “mockumentary”, showing the behind-the-scenes events of a video game studio as it brings the first expansion — “Raven’s Banquet” — to its popular video game Mythic Quest. We will get to watch as McElhenney’s character, the studio’s creative director, Ian Grimm, leads the team to launch.

McElhenney described the Grimm character as having an “ego the size of a city bus”. You can check that out in the first reveal trailer for the series, which is below.

The show will also star F. Murray Abraham (Amadeus, Homeland), David Hornsby (Always Sunny In Philadelphia), Imani Hakim (Everybody Hates Chris), Danny Pudi (Community), Jessie Ennis (Better Caul Saul), and others.

So now we know Mythic Quest: Raven’s Banquet will be available on February 7, 2020, and that all nine episodes will launch at the same time. And it does look genuinely funny, with an excellent cast and creative team behind it.

Are you excited about this one?
