Following hot on the heels of the most recent update for iOS 13, Apple is also releasing a new software update for the Apple Watch‘s watchOS 6.

Apple has released watchOS 6.0.1 to the public. As is the case with the updates to iOS and iPadOS today, this is a minor update. However, the new software is meant to bring software improvements to the mix, which will hopefully improve the overall quality and usability of watchOS.

The software update does directly address a bug tied to the Mickey and Minnie watch faces. It will also fix a bug related to the Calendar complication, and more.

Here’s the changelog:

watchOS 6.0.1 optimizes performance, provides security updates, and contains improvements and bug fixes, including:

  • Resolves an issue where the Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse watch face does not speak time
  • Addresses an issue where the calendar complication may not display events
  • Fixes a bug that could result in a loss of display calibration data

To update the Apple Watch, the download must be started from the stock Watch app on the iPhone. The Apple Watch itself must be connected to its charger, have at least 50% battery life remaining, and be connected and within range of the iPhone.

watchOS 6.0.1 is a free upgrade. It is available to download and install now.
