Twelve South releases Journal for iPad Pro, a chic leather case for the premium Apple tablet

Twelve South today extended its premium Journal case lineup to the latest iPad Pro models.

Compatible with the 11-inch iPad Pro (model numbers A2013, A1934, A1979 and A1980) and the third-generation 12.9-inch counterpart (model numbers A2014, A1895, A1983 and A1876), these beautiful cognac cases offer added protection for your iPad Pro tablet with a special emphasis on keeping its edge-to-edge Liquid Retina display in pristine condition.

The case offers full access to the front and rear cameras and doubles as a viewing stand and typing wedge for your iPad. Thanks to a built-in polycarbonate shell, your iPad Pro is held securely in place when inside the case whilst showcasing that gorgeous display.

Twelve South writes:

Working on-the-go couldn’t be easier with Journal for iPad Pro. The interior pocket is designed to store a slim, compact keyboard or documents for your next meeting, and store + charge your Apple pencil beside the iPad magnetic charger. The Journal for iPad Pro’s dual zippers keep the case closed, but allow you to unzip it just enough for the charging cord or another cable to slip through. Additionally, the back cover window makes it easy to capture beautiful photos and 4K video with your iPad Pro.

Indeed, they though of everything!

Megan Garza, Twelve South’s Marketing and Communications Manager:

Borrowing our favorite structural elements from the new BookBook vol. 2 for iPad Pro, Journal also includes added storage space for Apple Pencil to keep track of it while charging on-the-go, as well as an interior pocket for holding a compact Bluetooth keyboard or documents.

I’m particularly happy about an integrated keyboard pocket.

While Twelve South’s BookBook and Journal cases are both classy and unique, the Journal line appears to be more suited to the types of customers who dislike the hand-distresses finish giving the vintage BookBook cases their trademark Harry Potter spell book look.

The Journal line covers cognac cases for Apple notebooks, smartphones, tablets and accessories. In my review of Journal for MacBook, which was released earlier in this year, I called it “the MacBook of MacBook cases”. I also reviewed CaddySack, seen below, Twelve South’s premium leather tote for cables and adapters that features chic Journal styling.

The new Journal case for the 11-inch iPad Pro is priced at a hundred bucks while its counterpart designed for the third-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro is somewhat pricier at $120 a pop.

These new cases can be purchased from Twelve South and its retail partners.
