Apple seeds eighth iOS 13, iPadOS, and watchOS 6 betas to developers

Apple this week has seeded the latest betas of iOS 13 and iPadOS to developers.

Apple on Wednesday officially seeded the eighth betas of iOS 13 and iPadOS to developers.

For registered developers, installing the latest beta of iOS 13 requires visiting Apple’s Developer Center and downloading the necessary profile. After that is done, developers can download the update over the air after the profile has been installed and the iPhone and/or iPad has been restarted. The process to update to the latest iPadOS beta is the same.

The iOS 13 update is grand in scale, offering a variety of new features. For instance, iOS 13 includes new elements like a brand new Dark Mode, changes to CarPlay, a brand new, redesigned Photos app, Sign In with Apple for a more login process across the web and apps, plus much more.

Meanwhile, iPadOS is built for the iPad lineup specifically, offering more robust features for the bigger screens, including new multitasking capabilities. But, on a broad scale, the two mobile operating systems are relatively the same.

watchOS 6 is a huge update for the smartwatch. It features an all-new App Store for starters, making it possible to download apps for the Apple Watch directly on the accessory rather than having to rely on the iPhone. There are new watch faces included, and the ability to remove some stock apps as well.

To update to watchOS 6, developers need to make sure that the Apple Watch is connected to its charger, has at least 50% battery life, and is within range and connected to the iPhone.

As is par for the course, this is pre-release software that should not be installed on a a daily driver. Even though we are on the eighth developer beta there may still be issues with the software, which could lead to some issues.

If there are any new discoveries made within the latest beta, we will update this post accordingly.
