Apple sends out ‘It’s show time’ invites for March 25 event

It’s official! Apple has sent out invites for a media event to take place on Monday, March 25th. The event will be held at the Steve Jobs Theater in Cupertino and carries the tagline ‘It’s show time.’

TechCrunch’s Matthew Panzarino shared the image shown below of the invite, as well as a small clip of a reel countdown animation, said to play upon opening the email from Apple.

Of course, these details of the invite line up with recent reports that the event will be used to debut Apple’s long-rumored streaming video service. The company has spent the better part of the last 3 years signing on high profile Hollywood talent to create original content for a service aimed at drawing in (and keeping) users to its ecosystem. Stars such as Jennifer Aniston and JJ Abrams are expected to attend the event.

Apple is expected to preview some of its content at the event, as well as announce a new subscription news service. Those hoping to see sparkling new gadgets on stage, however, may be disappointed.

The event kicks off at 10am (PDT) on that Monday, and as usual, iDB will be covering the keynote and all subsequent announcements live. We hope you will join us for what is sure to be a fun and exciting day!
