As Apple continues to expand coverage of transit directions and indoor maps for its mapping service, the latest expansion has brought transit directions to half a dozen new locales while indoor maps are now available at additional airports.
As indicated yesterday by Apple’s recently refreshed iOS Feature Availability webpage, transit directions have now expanded to the following locales:
- Belgium
- Manila, Philippines
- Switzerland
- Wyoming, USA
- Iowa, USA
Including those markets, the feature is now available in 180+ countries around the world.
As MacRumors noted, Apple has probably added transit directions in these locales over the course of the last few weeks or months but we didn’t know about them earlier because the Feature Availability page is only updated every few weeks.
Indoor maps have expanded to the following airports:
- Brisbane Airport (BNE)
- Central Japan International Airport (NGO)
- Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport (CVG)
- Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL)
- Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers International Airport (JAN)
- Melbourne Airport (MEL)
- Tokyo Narita International Airport (NRT)
