Spotify gains endless artist radio playlists, personalized search & streamlined navigation

Spotify unveiled two brand-new features for its Premium subscribers today: a better search and an overhauled radio capability with endless playlists from your favorite artists.

Te Swedish company highlighted the new Endless Artist Radio feature:

If a subscriber wants a great playlist based on one of their favorite musicians or songs, they can simply search for it and start listening to one of the brand-new Artist Radio playlists. These offer an endless listening stream personalized to the listener’s own musical tastes. They’re updated regularly to keep things fresh—and what’s more, they’re even downloadable and available to play while offline.

Enhanced search lets you search across artists, songs or podcasts but now conveniently puts your favorite genres at the top of the search page for quick access.

They have streamlined navigation to make it easier to find what you’re looking for with three clear tabs: Home (your recommendations), Search (discover something new) and Your Library (this is where you’ll find your favorite songs, artists, playlists and podcasts).

These updates are rolling out around the world starting today to all Spotify Premium subscribers on iOS and Android devices. Streamlined navigation is available to all users. The overhauled search and endless artist radio playlists are exclusive to Premium subscribers.

The music-streaming company recently introduced a podcasters beta program for podcast creators who can now upload their existing shows to the service.

Spotify is a free download from App Store.
