StubHub, the world’s largest ticket marketplace, is launching today on the fourth-generation Apple TV as a free download in the tvOS App Store, according to an announcement this morning. With StubHub, you can browse, search and purchase tickets for various events from the comfort of your sofa. Owned by eBay, StubHub is an online marketplace for buyers and sellers of tickets for sports, concerts, theater and other live entertainment events.
StubHub for apple TV lets you purchase tickets for U.S. sports events such as NFL, MLB, NBA and NHL games and WWE/UFC fights, comedy shows, concerts by artists such as Adele and Drake, and more.
The user interfacer is fairly simple and includes beautiful event imagery and StubHub’s new brand look and feel. The app lets you search across available tickets in the United States by genre, artist, team or venue.
You can also discover events nearby or in a city across the country.
There’s a side-scroll interface for browsing within a seating section of a specific event, and the app includes high-resolution seat maps on the listing cards to give you an idea of the view from the section in which you’re considering tickets.
The app is rolling out today so don’t panic if you don’t see it in the App Store just yet. To download it on your fourht-generation Apple TV, search for “StubHub” in the tvOS App Store or ask Siri to “download StubHub from the App Store”.
