Google has pushed a refresh to its mapping application in the App Store. Bumped to version 4.17, Google Maps for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad now integrates with a total of six popular international ride services via a new tab in navigation mode.

In terms of other features, the updated application gives you the ability to save route options and integrates with iOS 9’2 enhanced Spotlight Search so you can find your saved places via the search field revealed after pulling down on any Home screen.

A dedicated ride services tab is available in navigation mode.

In select countries, users can compare pickup times and prices of popular ride services such as Uber in international markets, 99Taxis in Brazil, Ola Cabs in India, Hailo in the UK and Spain, mytaxi in Germany and Spain, and in the UK.

Uber was available before through Google Maps but—as mentioned—the all-new ride services tab makes it far easier than before to compare pickup times and prices.

“If you have a provider’s app installed and tap on the ride service tab, you’ll be able to see fare estimates and pick up times if a car is available near you. Select a service, and we’ll take you directly to their app for you to book your ride with one tap,” explains Google.

“When it makes sense, we’ll also show ride service availability when viewing the map in walking and transit directions, and multiple ride services options for each provider—where they exist. For example, if you’re using Uber, we’ll now show uberX, uberXL and UberBLACK for an easy and quick comparison.”

As mentioned, the refreshed app also permits you to find your saved places, and places you recently looked at in Google Maps, using iOS 9’s Spotlight Search.

In addition to these features, this edition of Google Maps includes big fixes and now lets you save your driving, walking and bicycling route options.
