Pei Wei, a restaurant chain in the United States, announced Wednesday that it has begun accepting Apple Pay in all of its nearly 200 locations for customers using iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and Apple Watch.

“Accepting Apple Pay is a win for Pei Wei because it’s convenient and gives our guests the flexibility to use their preferred method of payment,” said Pei Wei CEO Ralph Bower.

Pei Wei launched Apple Pay acceptance as a pilot in its 16 Phoenix area restaurants in July before rolling it out to all of its registers nationwide on August 4, 2015. Pei Wei restaurants also upgraded to NFC-enabled payment terminals with pin pad devices and point-to-point encryption.

The restaurant chain owns and operates 197 restaurants in 25 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. The Pei Wei brand is licensed for use by partner restaurant operators in airport and international locations.

With Apple Pay, customers can pay for goods with a touch of their finger while taking advantage of strong security and privacy provided by Touch ID authentication and tokenization, two technologies at the core of Apple Pay.

The Apple-branded mobile payments service recently launched in the United Kingdom with support from major banks and more than 250,000 merchant locations. Apple Pay is rumored to launch in Canada, China, Germany and other markets in the coming months.
