How to add a pull-to-refresh gesture to Cydia

TweaksRefresher

Pull-to-refresh has become quite ubiquitous when it comes to iOS apps, and now Cydia can join in on the fun. The just released TweaksRefresher brings true pull-to-refresh functionality to Cydia.

TweaksRefresher requires Cydia 1.1.19 or higher, which famously made it so that Cydia Substrate tweaks could modify it. Once you install TweaksRefresher, a free release on the BigBoss repo, there are no options or settings to configure—just install it and go.

To use TweaksRefresher, open Cydia, venture to the Changes or Installed tab, and pull down the screen until your see the refresh glyph. Once you do, release the screen, and Cydia will refresh all of the configured sources as if you tapped the Refresh button under the Changes tab manually.

That’s pretty much all TweaksRefresher does, but this is the sort of tweak that I like. It’s not going to change your life, but little by little, tweaks like these make Cydia easier and more convenient to use on a day-to-day basis.
