Apple has just named WayForward’s “Might Switch Force! Hose it Down!” its App of the Week for this week. This means that from now through next Thursday, you’ll be able to download the award-winning pick-up-and-play puzzler for iPhone and iPad for free—a solid savings of $1.99.
For those unfamiliar with the game, you play as a member of Planet Land’s Fire Brigade that has to help put out fires around Tangent City and evacuate any trapped Hooligan Sisters. You accomplish this by strategically moving and rotating tiles to direct your water towards the flames.

Buildings are burning, and your firehouse is ready—but first you have to help the water reach the flames. Moving and rotating titles to direct the stream soon becomes an all-consuming test of wits and reflexes. WayForward’s puzzler serves up quick-fix fun for everyone, sprinkled with adorable retro style.
There are 25 puzzlers spread across 5 worlds, which are accompanied by an incredible retro soundtrack, and separated by beautifully illustrated cutscenes. Block types vary from simple slide-puzzle obstacles to full-blown brain-busters like Turnpike Blocks, Mud Blocks, and Cloak Blocks.

The game looks like a solid puzzler, and it has a 4 out of 5 star rating in the App Store.
