BestBuy’s Winter Doorbuster Days sale is resulting in some pretty amazing prices for the entire MacBook Air line. The Richfield, Minnesota based company has slashed the price of the MacBook Air by $200 across the board.
That means that you can score a brand new low-end 11.6″ MacBook Air for a mere $799 before tax. Even when you look at refurbished options direct from Apple, that’s the lowest price you’ll find anywhere.
So what’s the catch? Well, there is none, besides the fact that you only have two days to take advantage of the sale. The only way I could see someone having a problem with this is if they didn’t desire a standard retail configuration of the machine.
BestBuy stocks four different standard MacBook Air configurations and they are as follows:
- 13.3″ Display – 4GB Memory – 256GB Flash Storage – Originally $1499.99, now $1299.99
- 13.3″ Display – 4GB Memory – 128GB Flash Storage – Originally $1199.99, now $999.99
- 11.6″ Display – 4GB Memory – 128GB Flash Storage – Originally $1099.99, now $899.99
- 11.6″ Display – 4GB Memory – 64GB Flash Storage – Originally $999.99, now $799.99
For those of you wanting something a bit more robust, you can head over to Apple’s website and customize a top of the line MacBook Air with an i7 Intel chip, 8GB of RAM, and 512GB of flash storage. Doing so will set you back a cool $2199.00, and you don’t get any sort of discount with that.
If I personally was in the market for a MacBook Air, and I wanted to take advantage of this $200 off sale, I’d probably go for the $999.99 13-incher. That’s the sweet spot, and it’s an incredible deal at that price.
