SkyFehl is a simple and silly arcade game

I love games that are a bit tongue-in-cheek. Developers who don’t take themselves too seriously are probably going to go far if they apply their humor to their titles.

SkyFehl is a simple arcade game that is rich in strange landscapes, silly effects, and a veritable who’s-who of playable characters that might get them shut down if they weren’t so clever about it…

Apple to begin notifying users of info requests from law enforcement

According to a new report from The Washington Post tonight, Apple will join Google and other high-profile companies in updating their privacy policy to routinely notify users when a government or law enforcement agency requests information on them.

The move should appease user privacy rights activists, who believe it's unlawful for a government agency to have the power to access user data so discretely. The Justice Department, however, is concerned that the new routine could threaten investigations...

How to get more matches on Tinder

Let's face it. Life is busy these days, to the point that most of us don't even have time to focus on meeting a significant other. The struggle is real. And while there still might be a negative stigma surrounding online dating platforms, Tinder has quickly emerged as one of the most popular platforms for meeting someone outside of a bar or club. The startup app has received numerous awards since launching over 18 months ago, helping to connect everyone from busy university undergraduate students to single adults for dates and casual encounters.

Tinder is essentially an anonymous "hot or not" app for iPhone and Android smartphones. If you find someone physically attractive, swipe right. If you don't, swipe left. It is made to be incredibly simple — and shallow — in nature, yet you probably wouldn't be reading this article if Tinder was as easy as it sounds. If you are not on the top of your game, don't expect to be getting too many right swipes on Tinder. Fortunately, it only takes a few minutes and a little bit of effort to improve your results. Read ahead for tips and tricks on how to get more matches on Tinder…

Samsung planning health-related announcement days before Apple’s WWDC

Samsung has announced a media event "around health" set to take place on May 28 in San Francisco. The invitation came from the company's sensors and components unit, rather than its devices unit, so the announcement could be centered around next-generation tech for Android and Tizen-based devices, rather than a new Gear Fit 2.

The event is notable given Apple is holding its Worldwide Developer Conference on June 2, also in San Francisco. Apple is rumored to have some big health-centered announcements at its Conference keynote, and it looks like Samsung is trying to get a leg up.

A complete rundown of the apps that made the Best of April list in the United States follows…

Apple continues its international expansion of iTunes services this afternoon, with the launch of iTunes Match in Japan. iOS users in the country can now access the service, which first launched in the United States back in 2011.

For those unfamiliar with the service, iTunes Match allows users to 'mirror' their music libraries to the cloud. This enables them to access their songs from any compatible device, without having to spend hours uploading them...

Alleged internal slide reveals Amazon’s upcoming smartphone

Amazon is expected to unveil its first smartphone in the not-so-distant future, and according to a new report from BGR, this is what it's going to look like. The site says the image on the above slide was created for internal use by graphic designers at Amazon.

Note that the handset looks quite different than the prototype we saw last month—BGR explains this is because that device was housed in a protective casing. The actual phone's design resembles that of the iPhone and other smartphones currently on the market...

Vine’s gorgeous web UI redesign includes search, curated sections, your feed and more

It must have been quite a while since you last gave Vine's web interface a visit, I take it? If so, I'm in the same boat as you. And rightfully so, as the spartan web interface only lets us see short Vine videos and get our embed codes.

Starting today, vine.co has become a lot more useful as the team rolls out what files as likely the most substantial facelift to Vine's web interface since the service's inception.

Not only does the new web UI allows users to browse popular and trending clips grouped in curated sections, they can also search Vine's database of content by person, tag or even location to find what they're looking for...

Twitter testing mute feature in iOS app

We've all been there: someone - maybe your ex or your biggest fan - is stalking you on Twitter and populating your timeline with stuff you don't want to see.

Or worse, if you've made a few enemies along the way you can bet they'll take to Twitter to post crazy stuff about you on an everyday basis. If you only use Twitter's official app, right now you have two options at your disposal to deal with the situation.

You can either A) unfollow your ex and risk turning him or her into an enemy, or B) block an account that's been harassing you online. According to a new report, there will soon be a new way to stop receiving updates from accounts: the mute feature.

I know muting is currently available in third-party apps like Tweetbot so the newsworthy part here is that Twitter is finally testing this long overdue feature in its own iPhone and iPad app...
