Test your memory with The Impossible Line

Impossible Line 1Do you remember playing the game of Memory? There would be a bunch of cards, face-down, on the table and you had to remember where each one was in order to find its mate and make the match.

The Impossible Line is a casual puzzle game that tests your ability to remember where objects are, but this is not your kid’s card-flipping memory game. You’ll be bouncing off of walls if you don’t remember where they are…

The goal of the game is to hit the target with the arrow. The only thing that stands between you and your target are a few walls. While that may not sound like a difficult obstacle to overcome, try doing it without running into invisible walls.

Players have just a few seconds to see where the walls are before they disappear. Then, they must drag their finger across the board from the arrow to the target along a path without running into the invisible wall.

At first, the game is fairly easy and the average person will be able to remember the wall placement without much effort. However, as the game goes on and levels increase, the walls’ positions become more complex and getting through to the other side becomes a real challenge. There are more walls and narrower pathways. Walls intersect with each other and make it more difficult for you to remember where they are.

There are two hints that help you. One keeps the walls on the screen for three additional seconds so that you can get a good look a their position. The other lights the path directly in front of you for a few seconds so that you can see a shadow where the walls are.

The Reveal Wall hint costs 10 coins while the Miner’s Lamp costs five coins. Players earn two coins for every level they complete. It doesn’t matter how fast you complete the puzzle or how many times you must replay the level. If you make it through to the target, you’ll earn two coins.

Be warned, there are a lot of advertisements that get really irritating when you play this game. You can pay $1.99 to remove the ads, and I suggest you spend the money because you’ll find yourself getting really annoyed when a McDonald’s commercial pops up every 30 seconds.
