AT&T Makes It Easy For You to Sue AT&T

That's a text message I didn't really expect! Apparently someone is gathering people who may want to be part of a class action lawsuit against AT&T. The strange thing about this is that it's AT&T themselves who are sending this text message.

After going to the website mentioned in the text message, I learned that the settlement is about AT&T charging improper taxes for internet access through certain services...

Sn0wBreeze Source Code Goes Open Source

After releasing his Sn0wBreeze jailbreak for iOS 4.1, iH8Sn0w has decided to follow the steps of Chronic DevTeam and their GreenPois0n jailbreak by making SnowBreeze's source code open source.

That means that anyone can download the source code to tweak it and hopefully make it better. I think this is particularly good for wannabe iPhone hackers. Downloading the source code will help you see how a jailbreak works behind the scene.

You can download SnowBreeze's source code from Github.

Spoiler: Tomorrow’s Apple Event is Not About iTunes Cloud, It’s About…

Earlier today we told you about Apple having a big event tomorrow, which is centered around iTunes. At the time, we speculated that the event will most likely be to introduce iTunes Cloud, a service that would allow you to stream music from iTunes, anywhere you are.

Well, it looks like this is not going to happen, at least not tomorrow. According to the WSJ, Apple will announce tomorrow that they finally have the rights to the entire Beatles catalog and that it will be available on iTunes...

No Badges Removes Your iPhone Apps Badges

Do you hate badges so much that you wish they were gone forever? That sounds a little extreme, but if that's what you're into, then there is now a new mod on Cydia that will do exactly what you're looking for.

In the same way No Folder Badges removed badges from your iPhone folders, No Badges, a new jailbreak tweak by Chpwn will remove the badges from your homescreen apps. That's all the app does and from what I can tell it does it well...

Apple Teases Us With “Exciting Announcement From iTunes” Tomorrow

If you go to Apple.com right now, you will be greeted with the image above. What can it be? Well, the rumors have been running around for a while that Apple is preparing a cloud version of iTunes which would allow you to stream your iTunes music from anywhere.

Apple spent 1 billion dollars in a top-of-the-art data center so it's about time they get some return on investment for this. But again, with Apple you never really know what to expect...

‘Back to the Future’ Flux Capacitor iPhone App Helps You Travel Back in Time

Have you ever wanted to travel back in time but couldn't afford the pricetag of a DeLorean? Now you can thanks to the Flux Capacitor app for iPhone. Best of all, going back to 1955 to kick Biff Tannen's ass will only cost you $.99.

The Flux Capacitor is what made time travel possible in the movie Back to the Future. Now it's your turn to launch into the past, fine tune the future, and disrupt the space-time continuum! The only downside to this application is that it requires 1.21 gigawatts of power to operate, so no need to say that your battery will drain very fast...

Researchers Use iPhone to Measure Happiness

Track Your Happiness.org is a recent project from a group of Harvard scientific researchers. The project's goal is to, "investigate what makes life worth living." Specifically, to see how the wandering mind and happiness correlate.

But how could this type of a survey really be effective when you would need the ability to invade the mind of your participant throughout the day for effective results?

Researchers were able to do something that traditional physiology methods have not allowed in the past: to intrude on the lives of their participants in a non-threatening and targeted way. What better means to prick the wandering mind than through what is the usual cause of a wandering mind- the smartphone.

This specific way of data collecting was made possible through (you guessed it) the iPhone...

Mimicking the “Launchpad” With Your iPhone’s Wallpaper

In the recent Steve Jobs keynote, Apple introduced the next major version of Mac OS X. "Lion" boasts many new graphical innovations, and iOS seems to have been sewn into the new interface. One of the most interesting additions to Lion was the "Launchpad."

Launchpad brings the iOS home screen to OS X. In OS X Lion, when you activate your Launchpad, your desktop wallpaper is blurred and given a nice vignette so that you can clearly see your app icons. The effect is very pretty. And, fortunately, it's fairly simple to duplicate this visual effect with your iPhone's locks screen and home screen...
