Turn Your iPhone Into A Stun Gun

Yes, you read the title of this post correctly. Thanks to a little add-on called the Stun Fone, you can now turn your iPhone into a stun gun. How real is this? I have no idea, but to be honest with you, I don't have much faith in the trustworthiness of it.

I came across the Stun Fone via TUAW, and these peeps are on the fence too.

The Stun Fone sells for $25 on their "official website", which is currently experiencing an overwhelming amount of traffic.

Real or fake?

This iPhone Decal Makes You Look Like You’re Talking to Yourself

I don't know what to think about this iPhone decal. Do I find it absolutely ridiculous? Or is it genially original? This skin shows the iPhone 4's icons and UI on your iPhone 4, and is to be applied on the back of your iPhone. So basically, the back of your iPhone will now look like the front of your iPhone.

Imagine you're walking down the street, talking to your friend over the phone. Other people will see you and will most likely believe you're pretending to have a phone conversation with some imaginary friend...

AppSwitch, the Ultimate System Utility for Your iPhone

Apple doesn't like for users to be able to see what's "under the hood." OS X and iOS are very design and aesthetically driven. Apparently, Apple feels that "viewing processes" is an archaic feature. There is no real way in iOS to get a bird's eye view of everything that's running on your phone.

There are, however, some of us out there who would like to know things like which processes are running and the current distribution of system memory. Luckily, App Switch, by XCool Apps, is here to remedy our need for total control...

Capcom Arcade Games on the iPhone Go Freemium

The video game titan Capcom recently released an official iPhone app called "Capcom Arcade." The arcade-styled app lets you play the original versions of some of Capcom's classic games. Street Fighter, Ghouls 'N Ghosts, 1942, and Commando are all available to be played in their entirety on iOS.

"Wow. That's a lot of awesome gameplay in one app. I bet that's expensive." That's what I thought too when I first heard that Capcom was releasing an app with bundled games. The interesting thing is that Capcom Arcade is not an expensive app at all, in fact, it's free...

Damn You iPhone Auto Correct!

No matter how much you love your iPhone, there's one thing you have to agree on: the auto correct sucks! Until Apple makes this better, there isn't much we can do but laugh about it all.

That's what DamnYouAutoCorrect.com does. The website compiles all those hilarious auto correct suggestions for your browsing pleasure.

What the duck! I should have thought of that earlier ;)

Sticky Buttons Make Your iPhone Touchscreen a Better Control Pad

No doubt the iPhone is a great gaming device, however, one big problem I have with it is when playing games that require heavy use of the touchscreen. Like Street Fighter IV for example.

Because you can't feel the buttons, you sometimes miss the button you want to hit, causing you to lose for the 5th time in a row against M. Bison. No more of that, thanks to those stick-on buttons that will turn your iPhone into a better game pad...

New Jailbreak Tweak Brings Panoramic Wallpaper Scrolling to Your iPhone

Here is an interesting tweak for jailbroken iPhones. Parallax is a new jailbreak app that allows you to add a panoramic widescreen wallpaper to your iPhone springboard. Once set up, you can flick through the panoramic image simply by scrolling left and right.

Simply select a widescreen wallpaper from Settings or Photos, and watch your background scroll behind your icons! The wallpaper scroll speed is configurable from Settings.

Watch the video below to Parallax it in action...

FaceTime Coming to iPhone 3GS

The same guys who recently brought us the FaceTime Haktivator app for jailbroken iPhones are back at it, this time with an app called FaceIt-3GS, which lets you have FaceTime on a jailbroken iPhone 3GS.

FaceIt-3GS is still in development as the developers are working the bugs out was just released in Cydia and the video below shows it working well. As you can see, it's not possible yet to use the camera of the iPhone 3GS but I assume it's just a matter of time until they figure out how to plug it in...

Tumblr iPhone App Updated, Brings Sleek New Dashboard

Tumblr has started making a name for itself as a viable blogging platform. For the longest time, Tumblr was considered the more lightweight and amateur version of established platforms like Wordpress. With over 30,000,000 monthly visitors, the micro-blogging platform has become a force to be reckoned with.

The folks at Tumblr have been making numerous changes to the platform, and now the service offers almost every blogging feature that you could think of. Tumblr takes a non-intrusive, social approach to blogging. The official Tumblr iPhone app was recently updated to support some of the new features of the website...

Warning: Glitch in Your iPhone Alarm Clock Will Cause You to Wake Up Late

Last week we reported about a bug found in iOS 4.1 that was first revealed by fellow Australian and European iPhone users. The glitch, which happens during Daylight Saving Time (tonight for us in the US), causes your alarm clock to go off an hour late. That's because your iPhone alarm clock doesn't recognize the time change.

Apple is well aware of it, and to be honest with you, I expected them to release iOS 4.2 in time to fix this bug, but this apparently wasn't a priority for them. They did however provide a few steps to make sure your iPhone will wake you up on time if you have an alarm clock set...
