“Price Check” is Amazon’s latest attempt at getting in your pocket. This shopping app lets you compare prices of products on Amazon.com. Amazon already has their popular Amazon Mobile app in the App Store, but they apparently thought that a more focused shopping app would be a welcomed addition to their mobile offerings.
Price Check allows you to instantly check the price of something with a variety of search options…
You can scan barcodes like RedLaser, snap a picture like Google Goggles, or speak your search query like Dragon Search. Price Check works well with your Amazon account for managing your cart, making purchases, and seeing your Amazon search history for quick reference.
I think that Amazon released this app at the start of this particular week for a reason. Price Check is the perfect app for any shopper that’s planning on navigating the storm that is Black Friday. I’ve played around with the app a little, and I actually like it better than the its bigger brother, the Amazon Mobile app.
