Following a major 2.0 refresh in April of this year, Google on Friday issued a minor update to Snapseed, its mobile photo editing app popular amongst iPhone photographers.
Available free of charge in the App Store, Snapseed 2.0.2 features half a dozen improvements, among them the popular Grunge filter which has made an unexpected comeback following its mysterious removal.
“After releasing Snapseed 2, we’ve heard a lot of excited voices, but also listened to your constructive feedback,” Sven Tiffe, Snapseed’s technical program manager wrote in a blog post. “You told us and we heard you, Grunge is back!”
In addition to the return of the Grunge filter, this edition of Snapseed permits you to copy, paste and hide Control Points in the Selective section, brings out improved styles in HDR photography and adds an option to export flat copies of your edits on iOS 8 for compatibility with apps like Lightroom and Dropbox.

The 35.9-megabyte app requires an iPhone, iPod touch or iPad with iOS 8.0 or later.
Back in April, Google-owned Snapseed introduced a major redesign of the mobile app with Stacks, additional filters and other improvements.
Yesterday, the Internet giant launched Google Photos, a new mobile app for iOS and Android devices (also available on the web) that promises unlimited cloud storage to store up to 16MP photos and up to 1080p videos.
