beats colors

Apple’s Beats Electronics announced new colorways for its popular Solo2 wireless headphone line on Friday. The 3 new colors are Gold, Silver, and Space Gray— the same offered on iPhones, iPads and the just-launched ultra slim MacBook.

While Solo2s already came in a variety of colors, these new options will allow customers to buy headphones to match their favorite Apple devices. Other than that, however, these new headphones are identical to other Solo2 wireless models.

The Bluetooth Solo2 headphones were the first product Beats launched following its $3 billion acquisition by Apple last summer. They sell for $299, although you can typically find them for much cheaper, and have been fairly well received.

In addition to the new headphone colors, Apple today also launched its new 12-inch Retina MacBook and pre-orders for the Apple Watch. Initial inventory for the watch went quickly, with shipping estimates quickly slipping into mid-May and June.

300? Wtf. It cost 25 to 30 dollars to make beats headphones and they are not the best in quality sound. They don’t last long for most people as well.

    • Cameron

The shoes you buy costs about $2-$5 to make.

      • Manuel Molina

They should – my shoes are only 20 or 30 a pair. It still doesn’t add from 25 to 200. Point being, they aren’t worth 200 nor if they were priced at 100. Compare to other brands, they are crap.

      • FreeGreezyDoe

Lol your shoes are 5x the cost to produce them as well as beats being 5x the cost. Everything in the world is like that. Even the apple watch probably cost $30 to make

      • Manuel Molina

Doubt the watch cost 30 to make. If you look at how much the iPhone 5S cost, it was at 170 and Carriers would sell it at 200. The profit was small unless someone brought it out of pocket, than you can see the money being made at 650 and up. And I don’t wear much flashy stuff, but the shoes look nice when going to meetings and such.

        Apologizing for price gouging? rofl

      • Cameron

your $20-$30 shoes probably costs $0.50-$2 to make, i was assuming you wore something of some quality.

      • Manuel Molina

Assuming isn’t usually the best way to go in life, and my shoes cost 15 dollars to 17 dollars to make. I like to research things before I buy them.

      • Cameron

what they sell you for costs alot more than what it costs for them to produce it, that is not an assumption.

      • Manuel Molina

At times an item is made in bulk, so cost is cheaper. Selling at a higher price makes sense, but the assumption of quality and price is off. A higher price in an item does not mean the quality is there. In my original statement just to end the whole thing, Beats aren’t good. They are top 25 and 25 on the list with sound quality, and they charge a lot for bass sound quality and how it is made. They are targeted at a low-incoming population and they break fast for many people. I can give a list of 10 better headphones that sound better and don’t break if you put them on as intended. It’s brand. I don’t pay for brand unless it’s actually worth it. Beats aren’t.

Yea… Shitty if u look at BOSE or B&O

    • Cameron

Bose gets a similar rep to beats in being overpriced for the quality.

  • Andres

    Buy it for looks.

  • Might as well have an Apple log on it.

  • Meh, just beautifully overpriced garbage. Want Beauty and Quality, look no further than Audio Technica headphones.

    • FreeGreezyDoe

      Overpriced liked an apple watch?

    • Cameron

beats are not bad if you can get them on sale, i actually like the looks of beats Alot more than these Audio Technicas. And ive never owned a beats, and had 2 AT’s before.
