Apple has yet to make any kind of official announcement regarding when the next iPhone will be unveiled and become available, but we’re almost positive we know the dates. Apple is expected to debut the handset on September 12, and launch it in stores on September 21.

There’s already a mountain of evidence in favor of this timeline, such as reports from multiple credible sources and news outlets, and blacked out vacation dates for Verizon employees. But in case you needed any more proof, AT&T employees have just thrown their hats into the ring…

TechCrunch reports:

“According to an AT&T sales rep, AT&T staff has just been given a vacation blackout from September 21 to September 30, just like Verizon employees. Our source also mentioned that blue carrier employees are undergoing training for an “iconic release.”

Sounds like the next-gen iPhone to me.”

Of course, there are a number of new devices scheduled to be unveiled in the first week of September, so it’s possible that this is something else, and not iPhone-related.

But the fact that these dates match up perfectly with Verizon’s reported blackout, suggests that whatever the device is will be launching on both carriers at the same time.

So if it’s not the iPhone, what else could it be?

  • has t-mobile done this yet? I’m still shocked they haven’t managed to get the iphone

    • t-mobile is broke bro… if they were to buy the iphone i think that it said that it would take them almost 7 years to pay apple back and then they would finally start making money off of the iphone.

  • WaterTrooper

They have no money. Thank the govenerment for the failed merger.

  • ArthurTyukayev

I’m loyal to T-Mobile. Although they don’t have good data on the iPhone most of the reason I have T-Mobile is that I don’t want to be forced to pay for data just because I have the iPhone.

  • No more Obama

i’m still amazed at how well apple has pulled this all off. its the 6 year with basically the same looking phone from the front and some differences on the sides/back. and iOS hasn’t seen much change at all. some people say it’s because the app store. which is the case with me for sure, but so many people want an iphone for status. it’s pretty amazing. apple, hats off to you for giving small changes each year and having your sales increase, increase and increase.

    • iOS has changed a lot. But iPhone is a cult, a lot of people like the simple to operate ui and to be honest, it is the iPhone, why should the design change?

  • I really hope apple could make some big difference on the next iPhone

All of this release date speculation is driving me crazy. In regards to
when to put my iP4S up for sale. I know for certain I’ll be selling
it within the next three weeks, when exactly (in 7, 14, or 21 days) is a
    really tough decision/guess.
