Lock screen app launcher, AppSlide, has made its way to the Cydia store this afternoon. As we previously discussed, AppSlider is a jailbreak tweak that allows you to customize your Lock screen with two shortcuts to your favorite apps.

You can launch your favorite apps directly from the Lock screen, and if you have a passcode enabled, AppSlider will respect the passcode before allowing you to launch the app.

You can download AppSlider for free on Cydia’s BigBoss repo. Let us know what you think about it.

  • Love it!

  • Looks hideous.

    • Agreed.

      Also agree.

UI wise, it’s atrocious but some people may install it just for its functionality.

I have to agree; I think it would look better if both icons were on the right.

  • I still don’t understand what is so hard about making applications icons actually square on the lock screen. These rectangles are ugly and disturbing; iOS is supposed to be nice looking and sleek.

  • ui is fugly..>.<

  • looks ugly tbh… why not have 4 shortcuts…. slide to the right to unlock… and slide to the left to show the 4 icons…..im just thinking out of the box….

  • if you could change the size of the icons i think it would be better, or maybe remove the icons, slide forward and back (like ipsum) and then it comes up 2 or more icons, would also be nice
