TubeCenter — as its name might allude to — is a tweak that allows you to place a YouTube widget in iOS 5’s Notification Center.

The only problem with this tweak, is that it lacked any keyboard support — at least it did during my initial testing.

Once it’s updated with the proper keyboard support, fans of YouTube could find this tweak useful. Check out our synopsis inside…

At the end of the day, TubeCenter is pretty much worthless in its current state. You can’t login, you can’t search; the only thing you can do is watch what comes up as default, which as you can see isn’t always the best of content.

If you try TubeCenter, let me know what you think about it in the comments below.

  • this is lame.

  • Yep, sounds worthless to me , but I’m sure they’ll update it soon .

I don’t want/need any more tweaks for my Notification Center. Besides, this tweak is unnecessary and boring. There are much better and useful You Tube apps/tweaks than this one.

I think that this tweak was made for those who are subscribed to specific channels in order to access new videos quickly, I’m not saying it’s a good tweak though.

  • Just what we need; not only more lag in Notification Center – but loading whole Web sites in it. I don’t think this is a good idea at all. Applications should remain in applications.

There’s an old Chinese saying that I think is appropriate here: “Just becuase you can put anything in an iPhone notification centre, doesn’t mean you should..” 🙂

Besides my notification Centre is already lagging like its an Android phone, as I have so many Tweaks + IntelliscreenX and BiteSMS integrated into it. The last thing I need is mobile websites and/or video playback eating into my precious ram!

  • Hahaha lame.
Imagine you got this tweak and u swiped down for notificationcenter, then BOOM!
The tweak got the ten hour video of nyan cat!
    You’d be like: FUUUUUKKK!!
