The best feature of iPhone X will be the Super Retina OLED Display. If you want a sneak peak, just go to your local Best Buy and checkout an LG OLED UHD TV and then imagine it being shrunk to 5.8" and in your pocket. It will be incredible.

Now, imagine that fancy new display, with a bunch of vibrant colors on your Lock and Home screens. Apple is thinking the same thing and their marketing videos prove it. Since the iPhone X announcement video, you have been contacting me to see when we would get a version for download. Look no further.

The Wallpapers of the Week section is full of different types of images and we try to post them in specific categories or themes. However, sometimes, I end up with a bunch of random wallpapers from reader submissions that are amazing, but do not fit nicely into a specific category. Today, I wanted to throw out a little smorgasbord of downloads for your viewing pleasure. You will find a mismatched collection of images, where the only similarity is their beautiful abstract shape and colors.

This past week the iPhone X was announced on stage by Tim Cook and company. Based on the availability of iPhone 8's, it is clear most people are waiting for the newest flagship device in November. Each time a new device is launched, Apple uses a wallpaper just for that single device in most of its advertising. Apple's iPhone 8 media event is scheduled for 10:00am Pacific Time on Tuesday, September 12. Each event is announced using media invitations that quickly make their way around the web. Using imagery available for the event, our community is always quick to create inspired wallpapers to celebrate the occasion. Within hours, I was flooded via @jim_gresham with submissions for our Wallpapers of the Week category. Thanks to all of our loyal readers and shout out to my followers for coming through in such a short timeframe!

The iDB team could not possibly be more excited for the upcoming iPhone 8. A completely redesigned form factor has been three years in the making. In my opinion, the crown jewel will be the new full screen OLED display. With OLED, the colors will be richer and the blacks, a true black. A new screen size, function area, and ear piece cut out will make wallpapers a new challenge.

Our Wallpapers of the Week collection has been able to greatly benefit from an unchanging resolution, for the past three years. But now, we are faced with a turning point in the device and, therefore, will need to dedicate efforts to provide wallpapers at the new resolution. This is a call to arms! I need your help to find or create amazing, photo quality images for the newest flagship device.
