Mailbox users will be happy to hear that the iOS email client received an update today. The release, which brings the app to version 2.0, brings about 'lots of bug fixes and improvements' as well as 2 new features: Dropbox syncing for preferences and Auto-swipe.

Beats Music app updated with new Offline mode, in-app subscriptions and more

Beats Music updated its iPhone client late last night, bringing the app to version 1.0.7. The update brings about a number of improvements, including better Facebook and Twitter account management, a new Find Your Friends feature for locating and following your Facebook friends, and more.

Perhaps the biggest change, though, is that the app now supports in-app subscriptions. This means that users now have the ability to bill their monthly subscription fee directly to their iTunes account. Facebook rolled out an update for its iOS client this evening, bringing the app to version 9.0. The update brings about a handful of new features, including the ability to reply directly to comments.

Bug-fix iOS 7.1.1 update now appearing in web logs

It’s been nearly a month since Apple released iOS 7.1 and now the firm is seemingly prepping the first bug fix update, iOS 7.1.1. As you know, iOS 7.1, the first major update to Apple’s revamped mobile operating system, debuted last September.

It's brought out built-in CarPlay support, Siri and Touch ID improvements, UI tweaks, major bug fixes, improved performance (especially on older devices like the iPhone 4) and a bunch of nice-to-haves.

According to online reports, iOS 7.1.1 is now appearing in web analytics tools, indicating Apple has now started testing the software with a wider group of employees ahead of the official release...

Whether you use it or not, the Fandango Movies app for iOS is a fairly big deal. Not only does it offer up movie info and trailers, but it also facilitates theater ticket purchases. In fact, you can start the process with Siri, as Fandango is deeply integrated into the assistant.

Apple updates iMovie for Mac with new title options, speed effects and more

Apple pushed out a notable update for the Mac version of its iMovie software this afternoon. The release, which brings the app to version 10.0.3, includes a handful of new features—like new title customization options—and various other improvements.

Pocket updated with new languages, support for Medium and more

Last month, popular read-it-later service Pocket took its iOS client global, adding the support of French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish languages. Until then, the app could only display UI elements (not saved content) in English.

Today the service built on that achievement by adding support for 5 new languages, including both Chinese and Portuguese, via an app update. The release, marked as version 5.2.1, also features better support for Medium and other improvements....

Twitter’s Vine app updated with direct messaging, custom profile colors and more

Twitter's Vine app today received its largest update since it debuted last year, bringing the iOS client to version 2.0. The update includes a number of improvements, but easily the biggest change is the addition of a new private video messaging feature called Vine Messages (or VMs).

The concept behind a VM is simple. All you do is select the new 'Messages' option in the navigation menu, record a video and send it out to your friends. You can send VMs out to anyone, but users have the ability to choose who they want to receive messages from—friends followers, etc...
